Hi! I’m Nikki, owner and founder of Raising Radishes, and I’m so glad you’re here!

I hold a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Early Childhood Education, complemented by a Master of Science (M.S.) in Molecular Biology. These degrees were earned through rigorous study, blending traditional educational theories with a deep dive into the scientific understanding of biological processes. This unique combination has led to the development of a distinct educational philosophy that incorporates elements of Sustainability, Constructivism, and Montessori methods in our approach to early childhood education.

I believe that the environment is our third teacher. This idea isn't just something I feel deeply about; loads of research supports it. When children learn in and with nature, they don't just learn; they thrive. They're more engaged, curious, and stress-free.

Together, we document experiences, reflect upon their discoveries, and project their curiosities forward, planning the next steps in their learning adventures. This approach does not just educate; it empowers, creating a community of learners equipped to question, analyze, and contribute thoughtfully to the world around them.

As the founder of Raising Radishes, my personal and professional philosophies are deeply intertwined. They reflect a commitment to creating an environment where children are encouraged to grow academically and personally, nurtured by the natural world, and inspired by their boundless curiosity.
