Extended Day Program
After School Program
Hours: 3:00 - 5:30
Our after-school program is unique in that it is also extended to children and families not enrolled in our school day program. Currently, we provide transportation from Emerson, Burroughs, Deborah Brown, Holy Family, and Greenwood Leadership Academy, as they are all sistering neighborhood schools.
An after-school snack is prepped by students and provided by Raising Radishes. Feel free to send a nutritious option if you’d like. You can also click on the link here for an example menu.
Our after-school program is designed in a club-based format with various choices. While our vision for these clubs is for them to remain organic and evolve with child interests, we will begin with the items listed below,
Sewing
Farming/Gardening
Construction (Legos, woodworking, etc.)
Yoga, Mindfulness, Gymnastics, and Balance
Cartography - Our Neighborhood into Downtown
Technology - Coding, 3D printing, Robotics
Drama & Storytelling
Art - Clay, Paint, Drawing, Charcoal, & Large Scale Mural work, Jewelry Making (Primarily Natural Materials and Dyes)
Cooking - Seed to Table, Baking, Food Prep, Food Preservation
Fiber Arts
Free Play - Outdoor Classroom and Owen Park Playground
As our families and community members continue to bring various talents and skill sets to our program, additional clubs will be added.
